In January 2022, the Intellectual Property Office of Jiangsu Province (JSIPO) organized an expert panel to review the files of Jiangsu's patent and trademark administrative law enforcement cases in 2021. A total of 63 patent and trademark cases closed in 2021 were selected randomly for the review, including 26 cases of patent infringement dispute, 13 cases of patent counterfeit, and 24 cases of trademark infringement. Experts were required to mark and comment on each file back-to-back.

The case review was intended to assess how well cities of Jiangsu Province had performed in their law enforcement and case handling, identify existing problems, and provide well-targeted guidance, to help the cities improve the procedural regulations, substantive regulations, and institutional regulations on administrative law enforcement, exercise administrative authority in strict accordance with the law, and improve the quality of law enforcement and case handling.

Next, targeting the problems discovered in the review, the JSIPO will guide cities of Jiangsu Province in improving their capability of patent and trademark administrative law enforcement and case handling.
